Setting Up Default Rates

AdvoLogix will default the rate on new Time Entries in several ways. Rate defaults are determined by the Rates table available from the AdvoLogix Setup tab. The following three default Rate options are described by this article.

  1. Using a specific Rate for a specific Timekeeper only for a specific Matter.
  2. Using the same Rate for a specific Matter, regardless of the Timekeeper.
  3. Setup a default Rate for a specific Timekeeper when 1 & 2 above do not apply.

NOTE: Multiple currency organizations have an additional option for a default rate for each Timekeeper/Currency.

Rate Defaulting Behavior

Please note, the default rate is automatically entered when the Time Form is initially opened. The rate default may subsequently change as the parameters on the Time form change. Changing either the Matter or the Timekeeper may invoke a new Rate.
