CaseCloud offers a straightforward method for transferring activity plan templates between organizations. Users can export and import one or more activity plan templates.
How do I export an activity plan template?
To export an activity plan template, users can access the export option from either the Activity Plan Template detail view or the Activity Plan Templates list view.
- Open any Activity Plan Template record view.
- Click on the Export button from the action button bar.
- The exported activity plan template file will be saved in your personal files list as a
csvfile. - Click on the link generated after the export to download the file locally to your machine.
- From App Launcher, search for and open the Activity Plan Templates tab.
- Select one or more activity plan templates and click the Export Activity Plan Templates button.
- The exported activity plan template file will be saved in your personal files list as a
csvfile. - Click on the link generated after the export to download the file locally to your machine.
From v1.157 onward, the Activity Plan Templates are exported as a csv file only.
How do I import an activity plan template?
To import an activity plan template, users can approach the import from the Activity Plan Templates list view or the Import Activity Plan Templates tab.
- From App Launcher, search for and open the Activity Plan Templates tab.
- Click the Import Activity Plan Templates button.
- On the screen that opens, select the previously exported activity plan template
csvfile. - Click the Import button to complete the import.

From v1.157 onward, the Activity Plan Templates are imported from a csv file or an xml file. The xml file format import is supported for backward compatibility only. New exports are only done in csv format.
