The Matter Search component allows users to search all information related to a particular Matter, within the context of the Matter. Options allow the user to 'fine-tune' the results by searching specifically designated related information. The following instructions may be used to add the Matter Search feature to the Classic user interface.
The following information applies to using the Matter Search in Salesforce Classic. Please see this article for using the Matter Search Lightning component.
Matter Page Layout: Add the Matter Search Component
Go to Setup | Create | Objects | Matter
Select Edit to the left of the page layout name you would like to add the Matter Search component to.
In the Page Layout Editor, scroll down and select Visualforce Pages. Then, drag-n-drop the Matter Search component in the page layout.
OPTIONAL
Double-click on the Matter Search component in the page layout to open the properties window for the Matter Search Visualforce page.
- Width (in pixels or %) = 100%
- Height (in pixels) = 20
- Uncheck
- Show scrollbars
- Show label
- Select Ok
