The Enhanced Form⚡component allows users to display a set of fields and present them as a record form with the ability to inline edit values quickly. All custom objects and some standard objects are supported.
The enhanced form component is available only in lightning experience.
Lightning Page Component
The component can be used in lightning contexts under a Salesforce record context, which includes placing and using the component on a:
- Lightning Record Page
- Lightning Communities
Functional Overview
The component can function as a record form with a specific set of fields and be placed on a record page. The chosen fields do not need to be on the object page layout for them to be functional or editable.
This component supports inline editing and an optional section heading is provided with the ability to customize the form display columns, which are described later in this chapter.
