While working within Outlook® or Gmail™, Matters are automatically surfaced based on the parties participating in the email or event currently in context. In addition to viewing Matter information, users have the ability to collaborate via Chatter, view related lists, or perform inline data editing without leaving the application.
2. How are related Matters surfaced in the sidebar?
The Matters displayed in the email sidebar are determined by the Matter Participant relationships within your organization. As an item is selected in the email application, the item's email addresses are used to find matching Matter Participants (within AdvoLogix). Those Matters to which the Participant has been assigned will surface in the sidebar.
3. Steps for Implementing
- Ensure your organization has been configured to allow users to access Lightning for Outlook and/or Lightning for Gmail. Please see the aforementioned help articles for details related to setting up these features.
- Using the Lightning App Builder, customize the Email Page page to include the AdvoLogix Related Matters Lightning component. The Related Matters component will be available under the Managed Components section within the App Builders component pallet.
If your organization utilizes AdvoLogix Timekeeping functionality consider adding the Multi Timer to your the Email Page to allow users the ability to easily track time within Outlook or Gmail.
