AdvoLogix Fall 2019 Major Release  (version number 1.86.x)

AdvoLogix provides two types of releases, major releases and patch releases. Major releases are seasonal, occurring three times (approximately) per year and are generally accompanied by new functionality. Patch releases provide minor functional improvements and issue resolutions. It is important to note, patch releases are automatically installed for all customers on the current major release.

Major releases are not automatically installed into your organization. Click here for help with upgrading your organization to the latest major release of AdvoLogix.

Matter Management

Matter-based Mass Emailing (new)

Organizations now have the opportunity to add mass email capabilities to the matter list view. This allows users to tag and send email to any contact lookup (eg Primary Contact) on the matter object. The resulting emails will automatically be related to the matter and can be viewed in the related activities and related email component throughout AdvoLogix.

Email List Lightning Component (new)

The AdvoLogix related email panel can now be deployed as a Lightning component in lieu of a Visualforce panel. The Lightning component has been improved over the Visualforce panel with the added capability to monitor the email status and improved attachment viewing capabilities.

* This feature is only available in Lightning Experience.

Participation Map Enhancements

  • Mass Email from the Participant List
The Participation Map now has the option to mass email from the component's list view. This feature works similarly to the new Matter-based email feature and can be disabled on the component property panel.

  • Add the Component to (almost) Any Lightning Page
The Participant Map can now be added to any page layout whose underlying object has a matter, account, contact or user lookup field. Page designers have the option to select a specific field in which to base the map's display. For example, adding the Participation Map to the participant page provides the user a quick overview of other participants. Previously this component could only be used on the matter, account and contact page layouts.

* These features are only available in Lightning Experience.

Matter Timeline Enhancements

  • Add the Component to (almost) Any Lightning Page
The Matter Timeline can now be added to any page layout whose underlying object has a matter lookup field. For example, adding the Timeline to the event page provides the user a quick overview of other activities for the underlying matter. Previously this component could only be used on the matter page layout.

  • New Dedicated Option for Chatter Field Updates
Chatter Field Updates can now be enabled (or disabled) independent from the Chatter Feed comments. These posts were previously included within the Chatter Feed option.

  • New Grouping Visualization
Items in the timeline are now grouped (by month and year) within collapsible sections. This new visualization closely aligns with changes in the upcoming Salesforce Winter 20 platform release.

* These features are only available in Lightning Experience.

Calendars and Scheduling

Matter Calendar Enhancements

  • New Hourly Display Mode (shown above)
When viewing the Matter Calendar in the weekly (or daily) view, users now have the option to display events by time of day, top to bottom (from 12am to 12pm).  All day events appear at the top of the calendar with key dates and tasks.

  • Multi-day Events (shown above)
The Matter Calendar now displays multi-day events for all inclusive dates of the event. Previously multi-day events displayed on the first day of the event.

  • New Filter Options for Events
Users may now select a subset of event items displayed in the calendar using the new event list view filter option.

* These features are only available in Lightning Experience.

Document Assembly

AdvoDoc Enhancements

  • Template Designer Improvements (shown above)
An improved page layout view make working with document templates more consistent by limiting the designers page width to the actual width of a document.

Billing and Timekeeping

  • Billing Preview
A new filter option allows users to work with both time and expenses or independently work with time or expenses.

  • Set Time Entry Fields as Required
Organizations may now use the time entry field set to establish when standard time entry fields should be required.
