[1368] Field Level Security Permissions Error Occurring After Salesforce Platform Security Update (MM)

Updated on

Article #000001368

Summary

After the 'Enable ICU Locale Formats' critical update was enabled, Focus Matters secured logins must be set up to use Focus Matters functionality.

Question

Why am I receiving one of the following errors:

No such column _________ on entity ________. If you are attempting to use a custom field, be sure to append the '__c' after the custom field name. Please reference your WSDL or the describe call for the appropriate names.

or

This session if not valid for use with the REST API.

or

Error: Operation failed due to fields being inaccessible on Sobject advpm__[field]__c, check errors on Exception or Result!

Workaround

For issues that highlight specific fields that are not accessible, you will need to grant FLS (field-level security) permissions to the fields indicated in the error. Salesforce does not allow standard objects or field permissions (CRUD/FLS) to be part of the packaged permission sets. So, if users are getting errors when accessing any event, task, account, or contact fields, FLS or CRUD operation errors, they will have to go into their custom profiles or custom permission sets to grant access to those fields.

To resolve the error, a system administrator can assign the AdvoLogix User permission set to the user experiencing the issue.

Or, if the user is assigned a custom permission set or profile, a system administrator can compare the AdvoLogix User permission set Time object CRUD and fields FLS permissions to it and ensure the custom permission set or profile has similar CRUD/FLS permissions.

This change in security is due to the recent critical update that was auto-enabled in the Salesforce Spring '25 release.  You can learn more about adopting the ICU Locale Formats here.
