AdvoLogix June 2015 Major Release (version 1.47.x)
AdvoLogix provides two types of releases, major releases, and patch releases. Major releases are seasonal, occurring three times (approximately) per year and are generally accompanied by new functionality. Patch releases provide minor functional improvements and issue resolutions. It is important to note, patch releases are automatically installed for all customers on the current major release.
Major releases are not automatically installed into your organization. Click here for help with upgrading your organization to the latest major release of AdvoLogix.
Interim Releases
1.47.04
- Resolved an issue with the Matter Calendar not showing a group activity if current user is not an attendee AND the global option to expand group Activities is not enabled.
- Resolved an issue with the Matter Timeline when handling large amounts of data.
- Batch processing for participants is now supported through custom Apex and Triggers.
1.47.02
- Resolved an issue for some customers experiencing timeout errors on Matter Calendar.
Matters
- Added a new Matter Hierarchy view that displays the Matter’s position in the parent/child hierarchy. If your organization uses parent/Child Matters this will be a valuable tool. You may add the button to the Matter page layout(s) of your choice.
- Added a new feature for quickly exporting Matters based on custom export templates. The new “Export” button can be found in the available list buttons for the Matter object.
- Matter Participants can now be moved between Matters by changing the Matter lookup on the Participant object. Previously, the Participant's Matter could not be changed. Technically speaking, re-parenting has been enabled between the Matter and Participant.
- A new global option allows Group Events to be displayed as a single Event in the Matter Calendar and the Matter Gantt. The default option is to show all Events, one for each attendee. There is no change in the current behavior unless you choose to implement this feature using the new global option in AdvoLogix Setup Settings.
Matter Timeline
A new Timeline viewing option displays Timeline data chronologically on a linear time chart. This view quickly displays an overview of the entire case history. There are two ways to implement the new Timeline chart.
- The existing Matter Timeline section now has two viewing modes, List and Chart. Use the menu options to select between these two display modes.
- A new TimelineChartView section is available to add to Matter page layouts the new Timeline chart section will only show the chart. This is extremely effective when displayed at the top of the Matter detail (as illustrated above).
Action Plans
- Several modest improvements to the field positions on the Action Plan page layouts for improved usability.
- Renamed select column headings in the Activity section for improved accuracy and readability.
- The first column is now Activity (Task or Event) instead of Activity Type.
- Task Dependency is now Dependency.
- The column previously labeled Category is now labeled Type to more accurately reflect the field being updated on the Activity record. Type has always been the field being updated.
- Removed the checkbox option to send an Email notification for Event activities. This option was not previously functional, the platform does not support Event assignment notifications. This functionality is supported by Tasks only.
- Added the ability to assign a value to the Type field for Events. Previously this entry was only available for Tasks (under the column heading Category).
- The Action Plan chapter in our documentation has been rewritten to incorporate examples and detailed explanations for various features of the Action Plan implementation.
Salesforce1 (mobile)
- Added the ability to add a new Time record from the Time tab.
- Resolved an issue that prevented existing Events from being opened from the Salesforce1 Today app and the Salesforce1 Event list.
Other Enhancements
- The Expense list view now supports the Mass Edit feature, consistent with the Time list (and other lists). Existing organizations that wish to utilize this new feature may add the new button to your Expense list view.
- Export Templates now treat Street field types as three different fields. This resolves potential errors with the CSV output caused by the block format of the Street field. This feature is driven by the new capability to export Matters, which also includes any Account or Contact addresses linked to the Matter object.
If your organization uses export templates for Time or Expense and are currently exporting a Street field type you will need to accommodate the new split field format. The new format provides three columns labeled {field name} Line 1, {field name} Line 2, {field name} Line 3. Previously, the Street column heading was labeled {field name}.
