This article serves as your setup guide. While you may need to occasionally switch to other articles for reference, you can always return here to continue where you left off. Take the time to plan your implementation carefully, considering factors like which objects will be hosted with the connector for displaying workspaces, and determining who will have the ability to create new workspaces.

Please Note:

  • The iManage Integration for Salesforce powered by AdvoLogix does not support Salesforce Classic. None of the provided lightning components within our app can be used or customized from the Salesforce Classic environment.
  • We support cloudimanage.com (public) and imanage.work (private) endpoints for versions 10.2 and above where the Universal API (Version 2 REST API) has been enabled.

What iManage instance is your organization using?

Please Note: To move forward in the set up of this integration you must be a Salesforce Administrator and a member of NRTADMIN group or assigned a role withTier 2 Control Center privileges.

Pre-Installation Requirements

If you are using iManage On-Premise edition for iManage Work then make sure your iManage Work web url and instance is either publicly available or has whitelisted the Salesforce Platform IP addresses. For more details on which IP addresses to whitelist, follow this link from Salesforce.

Please Note: Lightning Web Security within your Salesforce organization must be disabled. For more details, follow this link.

Install iManage Integration Package

Manually Create the App in iManage Control Center

In this article you will choose the 'manually' option to view the instructions.

Pre-Installation Requirements

To move forward in the set up of this integration you must be a Salesforce Administrator and a member of NRTADMIN group or assigned a role with Tier 2 Control Center privileges.

Please send the following information to AdvoLogix Support ([email protected]):

  1. Your organization's My Domain name.  
    • If you are installing into a sandbox, then you will need to provide the sandbox name as well. 
    • To find your My Domain name and sandbox name, follow this link.  
  2. Verify that the Lightning Web Security (LWS) has been disabled within your Salesforce organization.
  3. Are enhanced domains enabled?

With this information, AdvoLogix Support will assemble your redirect url and submit it to iManage for approval.  Once approved, AdvoLogix Support will provide you with your redirect url and the iManage Integration installation link to complete the installation within your organization.

For every organization in which you want to install the package, this step will need to be repeated.

Automatically Add App in iManage Control Center

In this article you will choose the 'automatically' option to display the instructions.  

Set Up Your Users' Permissions in Salesforce

The integration has a built-in default set of permissions and permission sets that can be assigned to your users in Salesforce to grant functioning capabilities within the application.  Follow this link for more information.

Set Up iManage Authentication in Salesforce

Follow this link for instructions to create the remote site and set up the iManage configuration in Salesforce.

You made it!!  You have completed the required steps for the iManage integration.  If you would like to discover further functionality you can utilize in this integration, check out these other features:

  • iManage Workspace Manager allows users to create or edit object-specific configurations. These configurations are necessary to be set up and created before using the connector lightning component.
  • The iManage Notifications allow users to receive customized notifications on various activities that may happen either in the iManage components in Salesforce or the iManage Work cloud portal.
  • The iManage Featured Items Manager allows users to create or edit configurations comprised of a list of documents and/or folders from iManage and can be displayed using iManage Featured Items lightning component.
  • iManage Secured Logins allow users to perform actions within iManage Work on behalf of another user.
  • The iManage Upload Document Flow allows users to copy existing Salesforce Files to iManage Work.
