CaseCloud Setup: Spend Management

Updated on

The Spend Management connected application enables organizations to import and process legal invoices within CaseCloud.

Administrators can configure invoice formats, activate supported formats, and map source invoice fields to Spend Management invoice and invoice line-item fields.

The Spend Management page contains the following sections:

SectionDescription
Application Version

The Application Version section displays:

  • Installed version
  • Latest available version
  • Release notes
  • Upgrade availability
Invoice Format

Spend Management supports the following invoice formats:

  • LEDES
  • PDF

The selected format determines the available field mappings and invoice processing behavior under Field Mappings section.

Each invoice format can be activated using the Active toggle.

Note: Only active invoice formats are used when invoices are imported.

Field Mappings

Field Mapping section allows admins to map each field of the selected invoice format to an invoice or invoice line item field.

For PDF invoice format, use Add Row to create custom field mappings.

Spend Management must display an Installed status under Connected Apps in the left pane before configuration options become available.

The Invoice Format dropdown determines how Spend Management processes imported invoices and what field mapping options are available.

  1. Open CaseCloud Setup.
  2. In the left navigation pane, navigate to Connected Apps.
  3. Select Spend Management.
  4. Verify the status badge displays Installed.
  5. The Spend Management configuration page opens.
  6. Select Edit.
  7. From the Invoice Format dropdown, select a supported format:
    1. None
    2. 1998B (LEDES)
    3. PDF
  8. Configure the available mappings.
  9. Enable the Active toggle if the format should be used during invoice imports.
  10. Select Save.
  11. The Spend Management application will use the configured mappings when importing LEDES or PDF invoices into Spend Management.
