Optional Recommendations

The AdvoLogix package ships with several customizations for standard Salesforce objects. These recommended customizations provide a cohesive user experience for AdvoLogix users but are purely optional.

Permission Set Assignments

The AdvoLogix permission sets allow organizations to quickly assign access to AdvoLogix functionality to individual users within their organization.  These permission sets can be assigned to users based on two personas; admin or standard user.  For more information on these permission sets, follow this link.

Enhanced Notes

If you would like to use enhanced notes, follow these steps to enable them:

  1. Go to Setup | Quick Find: Notes Settings
  2. Click the checkbox next to Enable Notes 
  3. Select Save

Compact Layout Assignments

  1. Go to Setup | Object Manager | Account | Compact Page Layouts
  2. Select the Compact Layout Assignment button
  3. Select the Edit Assignment button
  4. Select AdvoLogix from the Primary Compact Layout drop-down menu
  5. Select Save
  6. Repeat this process for Task and Events.

'Create Timekeeper' Checkbox Field on User Layout

The AdvoLogix package comes with a custom user layout which includes a Create Timekeeper checkbox field.  The Create Timekeeper checkbox is used to automatically create a timekeeper record when a user is created or edited (where as upon save, that user has a timekeeper created for them) to be utilized in the AdvoLogix time entry functionality.  There are two options:

  1. The custom AdvoLogix User Layout can be assigned as the default user layout by assigning it to all applicable profiles.
    1. Go to Setup | Object Manager | User | User Page Layouts
    2. Select the Page Layout Assignment button
    3. Select the Edit Assignment button
    4. Select AdvoLogix User Layout from the Page Layout To Use drop-down menu
    5. Select Save
  2. Alternatively, you can add the Create Timekeeper checkbox field to your own customized user layout to facilitate the functionality for auto-creation of the timekeeper.

Mobile App Navigation Menu

If you would like to use AdvoLogix functionality in the Salesforce mobile app, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Setup | Quick Finder: Salesforce Navigation 
  2. From the Available box, highlight the following:
    • Batch Conflict Check
    • Batch Time⚡
    • Matter Calendar⚡
    • Matter Gantt⚡
    • Multi Timer
    • Focus Matters⚡
  3. Move the highlighted selections to the Selected box
  4. Select Save
