The Invoice Line Items Manager⚡Lightning component provides a powerful interface to view, filter, review, and adjust invoice line items directly on the invoice record page. It is designed for billing administrators, accounting teams, and matter managers to efficiently manage invoice details with full visibility and control.
The Invoice Line Items Manager Lightning component is only available on Lightning record pages for the invoice object.
How do I add the component to an invoice lighting page?
1. Deployment Use Cases
The primary use case for the component is within the invoice explorer view of an invoice; however, the component may also be deployed and used on other invoice view record pages as well.
2. Deployment Options

Display Columns – define which invoice line item fields are shown in the grid.

Show Line Item Description – toggle display of the description row below each line item.

Show Line Item State Info – toggle display of applied state badges and reasons.

Show Line Item Adjustments – toggle visibility of automatic adjustment details.

Display Icon – show or hide record icons in the grid.

Enable Actions Bar – enable or disable the action buttons for line items.
- Number of Records to Display – set the default number of line items displayed per page (with “View More” for additional records).
How do I use the Invoice Line Items Manager⚡component?
When added to the invoice record page, the component provides the following capabilities:

Header Controls
- Filter line items by record type.
- Search line item descriptions or applied state reasons.
- Add new line items manually.
- Refresh/reload the grid to reflect the latest data.

Grid View
- Inline filtering is available on all visible fields (text, picklist, date, number, checkbox).
- Columns are customizable in App Builder deployment options.
- Line Item Row:
- Basic Details - displays basic details of the line item.
- Description – optionally displayed in a secondary row below the line item (configurable in the App Builder).
- States & Reasons – display all applied states and their reasons.

Automatic Adjustments – if invoice rules applied adjustments, details are shown inline.

Actions
- Chatter Feed – open and view collaboration history for the line item.

Row Action Menu – Edit, Delete, or Preview the line item.

Footer
- Allows for fetching more line items into the component view.
Special Columns:
- Line Item Name (first column) – always visible and links to the invoice line item record.
- Reviewed – toggle reviewed state with one click.
- Has Adjustment – indicates manual (“M” in blue) or automatic adjustments (“A” in green).
- State Applied – shows the current applied state with color-coded badges. Clicking a badge allows you to update the state or reason.
