Installing the NetDocuments Integration Package

The NetDocuments integration installation link will be provided by your account manager. However, if you have not received the installation link, please contact AdvoLogix Support ([email protected]).

Pre-Installation

Configuration Requirements

The following settings will need to be changed:

  • Deactivate the Lightning Web Security (LWS) setting.
    1. Go to Salesforce Setup > Session Settings > Go to the Lightning Web Security section:
    2. Disable if enabled.
  • Enable the Deploy Metadata from Non-Certified Package Versions via Apex setting.  
    1. Go to Salesforce Setup > Custom Code > Apex Settings:
    2. Check the Deploy Metadata from Non-Certified Package Versions via Apex checkbox and select Save.
Information Requirements

Please send the following information to AdvoLogix Support ([email protected]) about the organization you will be installing the NetDocuments package into:

  1. Your organization's My Domain name
  2. Sandbox name (only applicable if you are installing into a sandbox)
    • To find your My Domain name and/or sandbox name, follow this link.
  3. Are enhanced domains enabled?
  4. What is your location? (use the NetDocuments Important URL Reference Table below)

With this information, AdvoLogix Support will assemble your redirect url and submit it to NetDocuments for approval.  Once approved, AdvoLogix Support will provide you with your redirect url and the NetDocuments integration installation link to complete the installation within your organization.

The steps above will need to be repeated for every organization you want to install the package in.

Installing the Package

You will be provided with two installation links, one for your production organization and one for a sandbox. The beginning of the links will look like this:

  • Production - https://login.salesforce.com
  • Sandbox - https://test.salesforce.com

Once you receive the links, copy/paste it into your browser's URL.  You will then be asked to log into the org your are installing the package into.

  1. Choose Install for Admins Only (Best practice when installing the integration.)
  2. Enable I acknowledge that I’m installing a Non-Salesforce Application that is not authorized for distribution as part of Salesforce’s AppExchange Partner Program. checkbox.
  3. Select Install.

The installation process will begin.

After a couple of minutes, you will receive the message below.  This is completely normal for bigger packages.  Select Done.

Once the installation is complete, the user that initiated the install will receive an email notification like the one below.

Post Installation Actions

Assign the corresponding NetDocuments permission set to the users.  For more information, follow this link.
