Federal courts use the Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) system to make court records available to the public for a fee.

When downloading case information from these federal courts without a PACER account, users will receive the following error: UniCourt API Error!  Please configure the PACER credentials in your account (see image below).

To access PACER records not in UniCourt's CrowdSourced Library™, you can add your PACER account or use UniCourt’s, within your UniCourt Account.  Follow these steps to enter your credentials:

1. Log in to your UniCourt account.
2. Select Settings under the More action menu button.
3. Switch to PACER Credentials tab.
4. Enter your PACER credentials on the screen.
5. Click Validate and proceed with Save.
