Unable to Unlink Current Folder (GDrive)

Article #000001036

Summary

When the client is not using a shared drive for their Google Drive connection because there are limitations based on a number of folders, documents, users, etc.

Question

Why am I unable to unlink an existing folder on the record so I can link a different folder?

Resolution/Workaround

To solve this issue, they created a new Google user and had this user share its My Drive with everyone. A shortcut was set up to get to this drive, with all team and matter folders set up on it. A user accidentally linked a matter to the wrong folder, and the folder was a team folder. When we tried to use the link to an existing folder function from the matter in AdvoLogix, we could not see the shortcut to get to the correct drive. To resolve the issue, we created a dummy folder and linked the matter to the dummy folder. We then went to Google Drive directly (not from AdvoLogix) and deleted the dummy folder. This broke the link and enabled us to use the Link an existing folder function to find the shortcut and link to the correct matter folder.
