Configure the Legal Analytics for Law Firms

AdvoLogix provides Legal Analytics for Law Firms as a CRM Analytics template to let users create their own apps. The app provides comprehensive insights for legal matter management by deep-diving into resources, billing, financial forecasting, and matter performance for informed decision-making.

To enable and utilize CRM Analytics within your organization, please contact your account executive.

  1. AdvoLogix Matter Management version 1.48.x onward within the organization.
  2. An additional user license for the Matter Management package.

STEP 1: Verify the Availability of CRM Analytics License

To verify the CRM Analytics license availability, login to the organization as a system administrator:

  1. Go to Salesforce Setup.
  2. In the Quick Find box, search for and select Company Information.
  3. Scroll down to the permission sets related list and verify CRM Analytics Plus or CRM Analytics Growth licenses are available.

If the CRM Analytics Plus or Growth license option is not visible, contact your Account Executive.

STEP 2: Enabling CRM Analytics

Before enabling CRM Analytics, make sure your user has the correct Permission Set Assignments:

  1. Go to Salesforce Setup | Users.
  2. Search for and open your user record.
  3. Scroll down to the Permission Set Assignments related list and click the Edit Assignments button.
  4. Select the CRM Analytics Admin permission set and click Save.

To enable CRM Analytics in your Salesforce org:

  1. While within Salesforce Setup, enter Getting Started in the quick find box and then select Getting Started.
  2. Click Enable CRM Analytics.

Once CRM Analytics is enabled, you may have to log out of the browser and then log back in to see the changes.

Depending on the type or license provisioned for your organization, the permission set name may differ and may include Growth or Plus within the name.

STEP 3: Assign 'AdvoLogix Matter Management' Package License to the Integration User

  1. Go to Salesforce Setup | Apps | Installed Packages.
  2. Click the Manage Licenses action link within the AdvoLogix Matter Management application from the displayed installed packages.
  3. Click the Add Users button, search for a user named Integration User, and click Save.

The assignment of the AdvoLogix Matter Management license to the Integration User is mandatory. If your organization does not have spare licenses, then reach out to AdvoLogix Support.

STEP 4: Assign Permission Set to the Integration User

  1. Go to Salesforce Setup | Users.
  2. Search for a user named Integration User and open the user record.
  3. Scroll down to the Permission Set Assignments related list and click the Edit Assignments button.
  4. Select the AdvoLogix Analytics Integration User permission set and click Save.

Repeat the below-mentioned steps for all the users who would like to access and or manage the Legal Analytics app and dashboards:

  1. Go to Salesforce Setup | Users.
  2. Search for and open the user record.
  3. Scroll down to the Permission Set Assignments related list and click the Edit Assignments button.
  4. Select the AdvoLogix Analytics User permission set and click Save.

Use the steps below to access the Analytics Studio and create the Legal Analytics for Law Firms app.

  1. Click the App Launcher to access the Analytics Studio.
  2. Within Analytics Studio, click Create from the upper right portion of the screen. Then, click App.
  3. From the Create a New App dialog, enter AdvoLogix in the search input.
  4. Select the AdvoLogix Legal Analytics for Law Firms template displayed in the search results and click the Continue button.
  5. From the template overview page that is opened, click the Continue button one more time.
  6. Enter the Name of your app.
  7. Click Create to proceed with app creation.

    (This process of new app creation may take a few minutes or hours. When it completes, you will be notified via email of the result.)

Your app's name can be any name you choose. The name entered here will display as the title when you click Browse | Apps to view the list of available apps within Analytics Studio.
