Access Control Overview

Access Control provides a structured and efficient way to control access to records and their related records, ensuring that only authorized users and groups can view or interact with specific information.

Go to the App Launcher (or waffle) and search for Access Control.

Access Control

  1. Access your saved list views for the access control.
  2. Add a New access control, use the Access Control Easy Add, Apply Access Control Settings, or change the owner of the existing access control.
  3. Create, delete, or edit the available list views for the access control.
  4. Access, delete, or edit the available access control from the list.

Access Control Record Detail⚡Component

The Access Control Record Detailcomponent is available on an Access Control-based Lightning record page only.

The Access Control Record Detail Lightning component allows users to easily manage access control with easy-to-use inline editing support. Users can manage the criteria, related objects, and permissions configured within the access control. For more details, follow this link.

This related list should be available on any record that has been implemented with Access Control. If you don't see the related list, please contact your system administrator for assistance.

The related access control related list provides visibility into all the applied access control on that record. For more information, follow this link.
