Timekeeping Setup

AdvoLogix provides basic timekeeping functionality suitable for most firms desiring integrated timekeeping with their matter management.  If your firm will be using the AdvoLogix Timekeeping features please complete the following Timekeeping Setup procedures.

Introduction to AdvoLogix Timekeeping

Time entries are related to a Matter.

  • Timekeepers for timekeeping can be set for each user or a Contact (external resource).
  • Rates for timekeeping can be set for each user or an external resource.  Rates allow you to create hourly rate prices for Timekeepers or for ad-hoc chargeable items such as expenses or fixed fee items.
  • Rate Groups can be created to allow you to organize groups of Rates for specific Timekeepers for easy assignment of a group of Rates for Timekeepers to a Matter.
  • You can create and manage Export Templates which can be used to retrieve customized data from Time & Expense records for integration with external accounting and billing systems.

Each should take you roughly 2-7 minutes, depending on desired preferences and number of employees to enter.
